In the immortal words of Rachael Ray, “Yum-O!”

That’s what came out of my mouth when I met Annie Faragher Bennett at the Natural Foods Expo this past March. Annie’s a delightful soul from the beautiful state of Kentucky, who is just as sweet and down-home as her cookies.

One bit of these vanilla frosting covered lemon cookies and you’ll be singing their praise. I had one box of these confectionary gems and I had to share them with everyone around me because they’re so darned good. Box opened and ploar bears gone!

Each cookie is a little polar bear shaped tangy lemon cookie covered with a generous coating of vanilla frosting, that is guaranteed to melt in your mouth.

Artic Bear Lemon Cookies contain no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.

INGREDIENTS: Cookie: Unbleached wheat flour, *organic evaporated cane juice, *non-hydrogenated soybean oil, filtered water, *organic corn syrup, whey, natural vanilla flavor, natural lemon flavor, baking soda, baking powder, salt. Natural Vanilla Coating: sugar, fractionated palm kernel oil, nonfat dry milk solids, whole milk solids, soya lecithin (an emulsifier), salt, natural flavor.

*grown and processed without gmo

ALLERGENS: made in plant that processes milk, eggs, peanuts, & tree nuts.

Rating: 4.5
If Annie’s cookies were totally organic I would give them a 5, they’re that good. So Annie, get these little babies allergen-free and you’ve got a huge homerun.

I’ve been munching on these little sweet raspberry tarts since the Natural Foods Expo. They’re a yummy burst of tart raspberry flavor that disolve quickly in your mouth, which is nice because if you have small children it’s best if a candy disolves quickly so they don’t choke on it.

Raspberrys are naturally tart, and if you like that fruity-bite, then you’d like these tarts. There’s no other candy on the market like them!

They come in small pocketboxes, pictured above, and in tins or bulk bags … and you can get them from St. Claire’s Organics™ directly on their website (http://www.stclaires.com/ or http://www.econaturalsolutions.com/) or in your favorite health food store.

All St. Claire’s Organics™ products are allergen-free, wheat-free, gluten-free, dairy free, casein-free, genetically-modified-organism-free (GMO), soy-free, corn-free, tree nut and peanut-free, egg-free, fish and shellfish-free, 100% vegetarian, fat-free, and low calorie.

What is really amazing about St. Claire’s Organics™ is that their sweets have a low-glycemic index. A low-glycemic index rates how quickly the body is able to digest food, which would raise the body’s blood glucose levels. A low-glycemic index is ideal for diabetics and those concerned with dieting healthy.

Ingredients: Organic evaporated cane juice, organic cane juice crystals, citric acid, organic raspberries for color, red cabbage and black carrots.

Rating: 4.5
There’s nothing else on the market like St. Claire’s raspberry tarts, and with all the additional organic values I think this candy is a winner.
